Socrates a Greek philosopher, once quoted, ‘know yourself”. Self awareness means that you are conscious and aware of your present situation and problems by reflection and conscious thinking. Self discovery can help you change a lot of perceptions about yourself and other people. Aside from that, it is also an important tool to enhance your self esteem, knowledge the purpose of living.
It is important to separate how you view yourself and how others think of you. That way, self discovery can help you live a life that does not need anyone else’s approval which makes you more comfortable with who you really are. Those who really click with you show when you show your true personality. This will instantly give you improved relationships in life. By not controlling your thoughts and let your train of thought and emotions simply flow, you then become more aware of what you really want and feel. Similarly potential realization leads to good stewardship of assets given to us by God. In community development mobilizing the community to potential realization leads to, development, good governance, wisely voting. The bible is also not silent on the issue of potential and talents; in Matthew 25:14-15, a master gives his servants talents to take charge. There were no strangers involved. Therefore, we conclude that true "Talents" are given only to Christians. The master knew the servants well enough to know what their potential were. He didn't give them all the same amount. The servant who got only one Talent did with it: he buried it instead of investing it. This suggests that the master knew him well enough not to trust him with too much. The talents, therefore, are something given in addition to, and in the light of, and also in light of the person's character.
Moreover, self awareness is very crucial in one’s life since it helps one to have to have an ability to choose the response of all situations that come along. The response one takes builds ones character, for instance when the early disciples were faced with persecution, they prayed for strength and finally, they emerged victors.
